Review: Marvel Stud10s - Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) Marvel Legends First Ten Years Hulk // Hulkbuster // Ultron

Avengers: Age of Ultron got a total of three figures in The First Ten Years line, however it wasn't a three pack. Hulk vs. Hulkbuster were sold at Target for $70 as a two pack and the biggest two pack of the line, seriously, that box is heavy! Ultron could be found at two places that I know of, Best Buy and GameStop, I got mine at a GameStop for about $30. I believe it was cheaper at Best Buy but now they're on clearance so get yours now! I did like Age of Ultron, I can't believe I didn't watch it as they were coming out but c'est la vie, I didn't really care about the MCU and eventually I had lost track and forgot about it all together.

The box is the same for both, the only difference is the size of the box.
However the Build-A-Picture piece is incomplete for Ultron's box, it's the same scale but the box is a different size so it won't really fit with the others. There's also a bit of variation between the artwork next to the Cap protecting himself with his shield.
The two pack is the one that fits in with the Build-a-Picture.
The Thor from Ultron's box is where Guardians of the Galaxy artwork should be. It's out of place and I'm not sure how that happened, maybe a printing error.
The bio/summary is different for the characters. The two pack reads:

"When Bruce Banner becomes the smashing, crashing hulk, Tony Stark calls in the Hulkbuster armor to challenge Banner's alter-ego and save the city from total rage-fueled destruction."
Ultrons is: "When a globar defense program ideated by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner goes awry, the Avengers must join forces to defeat the sentient robot Ultron, a terrifyingly brilliant adversary who uses technology to create an army of drones ready to strike down anyone who gets in the way of his plan to eradicate humanity and hand civilization over to technology."
This one is missing the number so it also doesn't fit with the others but it keeps the same height.
If you use the 2 pack that seems out of place but it has the 7.

The back has a picture of the poster along with the number 7.
You also get bios on both Hulkbuster and Hulk.

"Having anticipated the need for backup in situations involving the gamma-green goliath, Tony Stark creates Veronica - a titan-sized suit of armor known more commonly as the 'Hulkbuster.'"

"Despite efforts to stay grounded Bruce Banner falls captive to the mind games of Scarlet Witch and loses his temper, swirling into a blind, catastrophic rage."

You also get a bio for Ultron:

"Originally designed to be a peacekeeper, Ultron broke rank and took his cardinal mission to the extreme, determining that the only way to create true peace would be to eliminate humankind and cede all power to technology."
Hulkbuster is amazing, he is so detailed and his lower half is incredibly articulated. Not so much for the arms. I love all of the paint throughout, it looks glossy but it's mostly just colored plastic.
He is so bulky I love it, his wrist aren't very articulated due to the detail on the forearms.
The head is on a ball joint and it has incredible range, it goes all over the place, you do have to position it right so it doesn't look weird.
His knees are double jointed and he can kind of crouch onto one knee, his elbows have a small degree of articulation, he can't do 90 but it's enough.
As for the Hulk, he has a hairy chest which is pretty funny, I don't like the diaphragm cut because it can look weird but the ball joint is very good. He is however a repainted Build-a-Figure.
The detail on his shorts and muscles is impressive. The hips are a pain because they don't go forward and back, you have to turn the hinge forward if you want him to move his legs forward.
The head is only on a ball joint not a ball joint and hinge.
The head is screaming in rage as well as veiny. His eyes have eyeshadow that is supposed to be him under Scarlet Witch's mind control.
It does add a lot to the dynamic poses but he can't have a relaxed look. You can't have him lean forward otherwise he doesn't have the ability to look up. He'll always be gazing down because of that. The body is reused but the head is brand new.
He's probably my favorite of the set, and I'm glad he has two fists! I wish he had different hips, interchangeable hands or heads. That would have sort of justified the $70 price point.
Time for another repainted Build-A-Figure, thankfully for both of them this is a great improvement.
However he is too skinny and some of the detail is restrictive especially on the legs.
He doesn't look very imposing he has the stature, he's very tall and fits in the shelf.
The face looks strange, I remember seeing it and thinking, that doesn't look like Ultron! The comic book look is much more interesting and he kind of looks like a Toku villain.
He comes with clawing hands but he doesn't really do much with them, he doesn't have repulsors on the palm.
He can grab your Captain America though. I don't know but he just looks kind of silly. His upgraded version with Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver as a three pack would have been so much better.
All of the figures in this set are repaints and retools so they're alright.
He does fit with other Marvel Legends like Vision.
They're among the biggest figures in the line but I'm glad I have them!
They should all be easy to find, I saw load of Hulkbusters and Hulks at Target recently but they're all gone, not sure if they're just in the back or they went on clearance. Ultron is at Best Buy, I haven't checked but they were still stocked last time I went.
