So getting some of these figures was a pain, I saw Iron Spidey at FYE for about $27 which was a no from me but seeing how much he was online I decided to go get it but it wasn't there anymore so I resorted to buying it online for $28. Iron Man Mark 50 wasn't that hard to get but I paid about $20ish which isn't bad. Building Thanos was pretty satisfying, seeing the Mad Titan in plastic form was very much worth it. We'll talk about the big guy later, let's get started.
In box Iron Man Mark 50 looks a little odd. The design looks great but certain aspects of the sculpt looks weird. The shoulders look a little high and the joints are tight. The fists look weird as well.
I like the gold, silver, and blue details in the suit. The light blue details give it a glowing effect.
I do like the swivel diaphragm joint, it does get a good range of motion.
I love and hate the helmet. The design is the classic MCU Iron Man helmet but the eyes look weird and sloppy. It looks like the gold plating wasn't assembled properly.
He comes with a pair of fists that look a little weird. They don't look like proper fists, it's kinda like someone who doesn't know how to make a fist making a fist.
He also comes with two open hands with peg holes in the center of the palms. These don't have wrist articulation like the two fists that can go forward and back.
You also get a pair of blast effects for the repulsors. They are light blue and translucent I love it!
They also peg on his feet which is nice, you get two but you can always buy an extra Mark 50! He doesn't come with a Build-a-Figure piece in case you don't like have extra pieces laying around.
As for Iron Spidey, he doesn't have any accessories. Which is really lame, he should have at least come with a pair of fists or open hands. I understand not having the Spider legs but come on.
I do really like the design of the Iron Spider suit and little intricate details here and there that aren't webbing. I prefer the basic Stark-suit over this one.
I'm not sure what you're supposed to do with two thwipping hands, it's just a weird choice of hands. I'd even prefer grabby hands or fists for a Marvel Legends over thwipping hands.
Another thing about the sculpting is the embossed webbing throughout the suit which could have benefited from blackwashing or some black paint.
Still though it's neat to have the butterfly shoulders which give it a nice range but the hips still don't open as much as I'd like so no splits from Spidey.
Overall, a good figure but it's not my favorite from the set. That would go to Mark 50 or Captain America.
I can't wait for the newer version that'll come out later this year that will have the same hands and the robotic legs, I believe it'll be a two pack with the nanotech weapons for Iron Man Mark 50.
As for the Mad Titan... I love him. The details throughout his outfit are great. He does look a little wide though, he doesn't look like that at all in the film.
The colors are a little dull which is common for a Build-a-Figure. The First Ten Years, version looks leagues better than this and the color of his skin is much better.
The face sculpt is good, he has a smirk and it works for this figure. You can't really see the eyes, I thought it was defective but I looked at others and they look like this. I do have an extra one from the other Cap that I got so I'll custom that one.
The Infinity Gauntlet is the best part of the figure, the intricate details are neato. The Stones could definitely be painted better. The best thing is that the forearm piece is a separate part and doesn't restrict the articulation of the wrist.
Articulation on this guy isn't bad either, some large figures are very restricted in the way move.
Not for the Mad Titan, he has some range and I love it! Shame on the lack of double elbow joints.
While I do like this look, I prefer the classing Armored look which did get a BAF for the Endgame wave and is getting a figuarts! I need that!
If you want to build him you should but I need to tell you that it won't be easy. While they are hitting store shelves they will probably disappear fairly quick. If you're only interested in Thanos however, just get the First Ten Years version. The figures in the wave are solid but if I'm honest, I'm mainly interested in the MCU figures. They are a good alternative to imports since they're so cheap and overall good quality. It's up to you, I don't mind paying $140 for 7 figures and 1 large figure.
I like toys, maybe a little too much. I review Power Rangers, Tokusatsu, Marvel, and other sorts of figures. Follow me on instagram @loveymush and like me on Facebook at LoveyMush Productions.
