Right out of the box, I have little to no problems with this, it's almost a perfect figure in my eyes. I don't have Tommy fever by the way, I'm not a super fan of the Green Ranger he's very overrated in my eyes. I'm a Red Ranger kinda guy, but I do appreciate the character as Tommy Oliver or Burai.
The base body is mostly identical to the other three guys. There are some variations in the sculpt. The torso, the forearm and the legs are the same as the Red, Black, and Blue Rangers. The biceps and cuffs on the forearms and boots are new.
And of course the shield and helmet are new. The interesting thing is that the main diamond, the one in the center of the chest is unpainted which is a shame. The outline is still there but I don't understand why they didn't paint it. The shield is and any gold parts of the suit are a nice, glossy gold paint. It's not chrome but it didn't need to and it looks good with all that green.
The helmet is recognizable with the mouth shape, the diamond in the forehead and the crest. The teeth are sculpted but aren't painted which in unfortunate.
The Blucker is painted gold with the lightning bolt and the red outline. The coin is accurate.
The belt is also white! Which is good since half of the team had grey belts. He came out in the first wave along with the Ninja Storm Rangers and the Red Ranger.
The shield does limit the articulation which isn't a surprise, in every toy form it's always gotten in the way. It's not that bad though, it is made out of a soft-ish plastic but it's not enough to let the shoulders move freely.
He does come with a hefty amount of accessories, the sheath, the Dragon Dagger, the Sword of Darkness and two Dagger holding hands.
The Sword of Darkness is neat, it has all of the detail it need except for the tassel. It's also really soft and will warp quickly and easily.
The grip looks a little too short it's awkward, it is much longer than the Power Sword.
With the standard grabby hands he'll hold on easily.
It's easy to plug in the sheath and the dagger, it is a loose fit so be careful when you handle your Ranger since the Dagger will fall out if you're not careful.
The grabby hands are very loose and don't have the best grip. They are kind of easy to swap out, you just have to pop out the hands from the ball joints. The right hand has the middle finger pressing down on one of the keys on the Dagger.
It's nicely painted and since he can't hold it with the alternate pair, the standard pair will hold on no problem.
Thankfully the articulation is there to pull off the flute playing pose.
Of course he can dual wield with both weapons.
This figure and the other have the problem of loose joints which can get annoying when posing.
Since we didn't get a lot of villains in the line (minus the Psycho Rangers from in Space) he can serve as your bad guy like in the show.
He does fit in with the Red Ranger and you can see the similarities in design especially with the helmet.
You can have them as best buds of siblings with a rivalry.
It's unfortunate that he didn't come with additional accessories for the Megazord.
It's a good figure to have especially if you have the rest of the team that matches the theme.
It's such a great figure and I'm glad I got it eventually, you can find them of Wal-Mart, Amazon, or GameStop since the figures are re-releasing especially after Hasbro released the Lightning Collection earlier this month. He should be available at around 18.99-22.99, Wal-Mart being the cheapest through the website and GameStop at the most expensive in store and online.
