Review: Captain Marvel (2019) - Marvel Legends Wal-Mart Exclusive Binary Captain Marvel

So, Binary Captain Marvel, a little late are we? Seriously, this figure has been out since the first half of the year, I would say since before the film came out. There was an online release back in June, and the weekend of my birthday but I missed it because I was busy and didn't check the site! Darn, so I missed out on it. Then in July it was showing up in stores near me as limited stock but that was all lies! Then I missed the 2nd online release, the only things available were the overseas from Hong Kong with the $18-$20 shipping, making the total price about $40. There were rumors that she would be released around August. I made it all the way to August but I just couldn't take it anymore so I caved and bought a Hong Kong one from eBay... only to find out there were sightings of the figure inside the U.S. a couple hours after I had already bought one for almost half the price! Needless to say, I was disappointed. I still didn't see this figure in person (in stores) until September 3rd and I bought two more, the one time I saw the figure in "person" was at a Wal-Mart roughly 20 minutes away from my house. That one had the Binary box but the Target Starforce Captain Marvel figure swapped. Initially I didn't notice, but then I realized that a Target exclusive figure wouldn't be in a Wal-Mart, so I got upset again, such is life let's see if it was worth the wait.

Review: Shazam! (2019) - DC Multiverse Shazam and Dr. Sivana

Sorry this took much much longer than I wanted it to, I did watch Shazam but just so I could review the figures. I watched it pretty much the week it came out. And I went in with extremely low expectations. This was after watching Aquaman (I have quite the story on that one) and I just wasn't too keen on the DC Extended Universe. I thought this was going to be lame and it would try way too hard in trying to be funny and, I was surprised, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and I got really excited in so many parts. I loved it, I thought it would be completely overshadowed by the other Captain Marvel and I was wrong. I loved both although if I had to pick one I'd have a hard time choosing. I'd probably pick Captain Marvel in the end though.

Review: Marvel Stud10s - Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) - Marvel Legends The First Ten Years Ronan the Accuser

They call him Terrorist. Radical. Zealot. But his name is Ronan the Accuser and he's pretty darn awesome even though he is just a crazy Kree warrior that throws tantrums because Thanos called him a boy. He was the villain from Guardians of The Galaxy (2014) but also had a cameo in this years Captain Marvel (2019) where he has a very different uniform. He is a nice addition to the collection and it's one of the few new sculpts that aren't repaints or repackaged Build-A-Figures from previous waves. As great as this figure is, there's one big flaw that just ruins it for me.

Review: Captain Marvel (2019) - Marvel Legends Yon-Rogg and Captain Marvel (Airforce Colors and Airforce Jacket Versions)

So for the last batch of MCU Captain Marvel figure reviews (minus the Binary form which hasn't hit stores yet and I don't feel like paying double the price for one). And honestly, it was a really good set of figures. I would have preferred more MCU figures over Genis-Vell and Grey Gargoyle but what can you do? I still need to review Black Bolt and Namor from the Okoye Build-a-Figure wave. I haven't rewatched Captain Marvel yet but I do want to rewatch it. I will watch Shazam though. That comes out soon, this weekend? Anyway, I love Captain Marvel herself, she's such a cool character with an awesome design and Brie Larson is cute so yeah. Let's get started.

Review: Captain Marvel (2019) - Marvel Legends (Young) Nick Fury & Talos (Kree Sentry Build-A-Figure)

Captain Marvel's been out for over a week and I still want to watch it again. Both of these characters are a big part of what made Captain Marvel great besides Brie Larson who will get her own review soon. She's my favorite, I love her very much. Anyways, let's get into the review.

Review: Captain Marvel (2019) - Target Exclusive Marvel Legends Captain Marvel (Starforce) & Minerva + Brief Movie Review

So, Captain Marvel, comics wise, I'm not very familiar with this character but I do like her design. I'm more familiar with the Warbird costume and the red, blue, and yellow color scheme with the short hair which looks cute if you ask me. Anyways, as far as the movie goes, I watched it yesterday with my mom and brother and we got the 9 P.M. screening since all the other ones were sold out and boy was it amazing. The only bad thing about that was that we weren't allowed to bring in our Starbucks but there was a worker there who was wearing the Captain Marvel costume which was pretty neat. I wasn't expecting anything in particular but what I got I liked. The action was good, and Brie Larson as Carol Danvers is a great choice if you ask me. I liked her as the very cocky soldier and she was very funny. The few things that were strange were the young Nick Fury and Agent Coulson as well as the CGI that looked goofy at times. If I get the chance I'll watch it again. I'll try to keep the review light on spoilers. Be warned, this movie might get you into "Please Mr. Postman" by The Marvelettes (it's a very good song, I have on loop).
