Review: Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers/Power Rangers Zeo - Hasbro Lightning Collection Armored Red Ranger and Zeo Gold Ranger Jason 2-Pack (San Diego Comic Con Exclusive)

Okay, so I didn't go to San Diego Comic Con so how did I get this set? Did I pay outrageous prices online for this? I almost did! And I thought that $110 for this set is fair since the set itself is $49.99 and that doesn't take into account travel, hotel, and the ticket for the event so suddenly anything over the original price isn't so outrageous. Thankfully I didn't have to do that, I did however, pay the Hasbro Pulse Premium Membership for about $50-$60 to buy this but I didn't just get this set, otherwise it would have been fine just getting this through eBay. I also got the Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary Vintage Series Hulk, the Collector and Grandmaster 2-pack, the Luke Skywalker 3-pack, and the Sith Trooper, so I got a pretty good deal honestly. I did miss the Boba Fett because... I forgot honestly and I think I'll be okay without it since I care about accurate live action appearances anyway, but it will haunt my completionist side forever... I might get it in the future but not anytime soon. Anyway, I got standard shipping and it came within a couple days after I purchased it. I know a lot of people were upset that this set sold out as quickly as it did but it's to be expected, I consider myself lucky that I did get this since it sold out within minutes!

Review: Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers - Hasbro Lightning Collection Goldar (GameStop Exclusive)

Goldar! Rita's right hand man! Finally a good representation of a very iconic Sentai and Power Ranger's villain. Goldar is the adaptation of Grifforzer from the 16th season of Super Sentai, Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger where he looked pretty silly honestly, the sculpted face on this figure looks a lot more intimidating. I always saw him as more of a canine-like creature, like a wolf but I guess I see the flying monkey inspiration in the design. This figure was a surprise and a lot of people were disappointed that it was an exclusive figure for such a popular character. This one was a GameStop exclusive, and there were some issues regarding his release. He was supposed to be released around mid-August, about August 10th, but a lot of people started receiving theirs before then. For others, like myself, had their orders cancelled for some reason (mine said there was an issue with the payment but I doubt that). I had to go to the store personally, a lot of them told me that the figure wasn't to be released until October which the website clearly contradicted, and then finally at one of them they let me order one from the store and I finally received it.

Review: Marvel Comics - Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary Captain America

Captain America, the super soldier! When I saw the prototype for this figure I was so excited, it looked like a brand new sculpted figure and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. A great representation of the classic Captain America look. I don't have many comic caps, the only other one I have is the one from the Vintage Series with that nice right blue color that doesn't really go with Cap since it doesn't really match the flags colors. There are some issues I have with this figure though, I'll go over that in a little bit.

Review: Marvel Comics - Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary Iron Man

This Iron Man is a fantastic representation of what I think of when I think about Iron Man. The classic design of the Red and Gold body with the [-_-] face. I was excited because the two Iron Man armors I owned were the Vintage Series Model 9 Iron Man and the Model 51 Iron Man from the Okoye Build-a-Figure wave. The one from the Vintage Series was just so outdated that it didn't fit with the rest of the current Marvel Legends figures, and those hips were terrible! I was excited that there would be another one and it looks amazing! Such an improvement from the previous ones.

Review: Marvel Comics - Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary The Mighty Thor

The 80th Anniversary line is going strong and they gave us plenty of amazing figures. One of the ones I was most excited for were the big three: Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America. I was most excited about Thor since I didn't have a comic Thor to go with my other comic Avenger figures so this was my change. I did see the other comic Thors that were previously released and I wasn't too impressed. He was the first one I found at a Target a couple months ago and I got him asap! He was the only one and it wasn't until a couple weeks later that he started to show up in stores. Let's take a look at this figure.

Review: Godzila: King of the Monsters (2019) - NECA Mothra

Mothra, the queen of the monsters, initially I wasn't super stoked about Mothra's design in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. I thought it just looked like a giant bug that didn't really resemble Mothra, Rodan at least looked like Rodan... although he is just a giant Pterosaur. Regardless, once I got to see the movie I loved Mothra so much, even though she's in her Imago form for a short amount of time I thought she left quite the impression. What really got me was the credits, they played Mothra's song! And that was the entire song! There were snippets of the song here and there throughout the film but to have the whole song almost made me shed a tear. Let's get to it!

Review: Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) - NECA Rodan

Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) has been out on DVD for a couple weeks now and I haven't gotten one yet but I will. Seriously, that was such a great movie I don't know why I didn't go watch it in Theaters more than once! Regardless, the NECA figures have been promising, unfortunately they're not planning on releasing a King Ghidorah that will scale with these figures but for the ones that were released, they're pretty good. I can't really say the same about the Godzilla though, let's see how Rodan holds up. Rodan was the third figure in the series to be released and it was the one I was the most excited for.

Review: Captain Marvel (2019) - Marvel Legends Wal-Mart Exclusive Binary Captain Marvel

So, Binary Captain Marvel, a little late are we? Seriously, this figure has been out since the first half of the year, I would say since before the film came out. There was an online release back in June, and the weekend of my birthday but I missed it because I was busy and didn't check the site! Darn, so I missed out on it. Then in July it was showing up in stores near me as limited stock but that was all lies! Then I missed the 2nd online release, the only things available were the overseas from Hong Kong with the $18-$20 shipping, making the total price about $40. There were rumors that she would be released around August. I made it all the way to August but I just couldn't take it anymore so I caved and bought a Hong Kong one from eBay... only to find out there were sightings of the figure inside the U.S. a couple hours after I had already bought one for almost half the price! Needless to say, I was disappointed. I still didn't see this figure in person (in stores) until September 3rd and I bought two more, the one time I saw the figure in "person" was at a Wal-Mart roughly 20 minutes away from my house. That one had the Binary box but the Target Starforce Captain Marvel figure swapped. Initially I didn't notice, but then I realized that a Target exclusive figure wouldn't be in a Wal-Mart, so I got upset again, such is life let's see if it was worth the wait.

Review: Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers - Bandai of America Legacy Collection Armored Red Ranger (GameStop Exclusive)

The last release from Bandai of America for the Legacy Collection line, the Armored Red Ranger, and honestly, it wasn't very expected. Especially since a bunch of figures were cancelled like the other remaining Psycho Rangers, the Thunder Rangers from Power Rangers Ninja Storm, the Silver Space Ranger, and all of the Ninja Steel Rangers. I guess it wasn't that surprising since all of these parts are re-used but it's not a bad figure considering that the two figures used to make this were pretty good on their own. The two being the Red and Green Mighty Morphin Rangers from the first wave. I had pre-ordered, him on the GameStop website when he was listed, thanks to Tokunation for letting me know (I just check the website regularly). I didn't end up getting the online order but I did buy it in store since I saw it there before my pre-order shipped so that's lame when you pay extra to get the figure shipping when it re-releases. Either way, let's get to the figure.
