Review: Marvel Stud10s - Thor: The Dark World (2013) - Marvel Legends The First Ten Years Thor and Sif

Back when I was trying to catch up to Age of Ultron I had to watch two more movies, Captain America: The Winter Solider and Thor: The Dark World. Of course I was really excited to watch Cap 2 and not so thrilled about Thor 2 since it had a pretty bad rep, the worst of the three Thor films. I watched Thor first so I would have fun with Cap afterwards. I was not disappointed, and by that I mean was that I did enjoy The Dark World and I wasn't entirely sure why it was the worst of the three. I liked it and I would watch it again. This set I bought online via Wal-Mart for about $31 only to find it on clearance at a "local" (about 20 minutes away) one for half the price, there were several of these! I should have bought them but more on that later.

Review: Marvel Stud10s - Iron Man 3 (2013) - Marvel Legends The First Ten Years Pepper Potts, Iron Man Mark XXII, and The Mandarin

Sorry about the late post, long and busy week and I didn't have this set, I realized this last Sunday, I though either Ronan or the Thor: The Dark World two pack were next but no... it was this one, I didn't think I'd have to buy this until next week or the one after. Either way, I got it via Amazon prime for $70 and it was quite a hit to my wallet and it's also pretty underwhelming. You get a repaint of a War Machine armor and you also get a release of a figure that was shown when Iron Man 3 came out but never did but without his accessories and Pepper! And no, Pepper Potts wasn't worth $70 but I'm sorta glad I got her. She fits well with the crew.

Review: Captain Marvel (2019) - Marvel Legends (Young) Nick Fury & Talos (Kree Sentry Build-A-Figure)

Captain Marvel's been out for over a week and I still want to watch it again. Both of these characters are a big part of what made Captain Marvel great besides Brie Larson who will get her own review soon. She's my favorite, I love her very much. Anyways, let's get into the review.

Review: Marvel Stud10s - The Avengers (2012) - Marvel Legends The First Ten Years Iron Man Mark 7

Would you believe me if I told you I didn't watch the Avengers until a couple months ago? Actually more like half a year ago at this point. I watched it so I could watch Infinity War, I had to play catch up and prior to watching The Avengers I watched Thor right before it. And I loved it, it was a lot better than I expected and I don't know why I waited 6 years before watching it. I remember the trailers and all the hype leading up to the movie but I just wasn't interested. I did watch all the prerequisites and I wasn't until recently that I realized The Incredible Hulk (2008) was also part of the MCU even though it feels like a sequel to Hulk (2003) which I guess it's a pseudo sequel? Much like Superman Returns (2006) is a pseudo sequel to Christopher Reeve's Superman movies. Anyway, the toyline for The Avengers was out in stores and Wal-Mart Exclusive 6" Figures that had everyone minus Black Widow. I was also when I started reviewing toys online and I saw Deadzilla review Iron Man and I wanted to do the same, unfortunately I wasn't able to find anyone besides Captain America and I would like to get the rest even though they look terrible (kinda). I don't believe Iron Man Mark VII was part of the lineup, instead they released Mark VI sporting a battle damaged paint job.

Review: Captain Marvel (2019) - Target Exclusive Marvel Legends Captain Marvel (Starforce) & Minerva + Brief Movie Review

So, Captain Marvel, comics wise, I'm not very familiar with this character but I do like her design. I'm more familiar with the Warbird costume and the red, blue, and yellow color scheme with the short hair which looks cute if you ask me. Anyways, as far as the movie goes, I watched it yesterday with my mom and brother and we got the 9 P.M. screening since all the other ones were sold out and boy was it amazing. The only bad thing about that was that we weren't allowed to bring in our Starbucks but there was a worker there who was wearing the Captain Marvel costume which was pretty neat. I wasn't expecting anything in particular but what I got I liked. The action was good, and Brie Larson as Carol Danvers is a great choice if you ask me. I liked her as the very cocky soldier and she was very funny. The few things that were strange were the young Nick Fury and Agent Coulson as well as the CGI that looked goofy at times. If I get the chance I'll watch it again. I'll try to keep the review light on spoilers. Be warned, this movie might get you into "Please Mr. Postman" by The Marvelettes (it's a very good song, I have on loop).

Review: Marvel Stud10s - Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) - Marvel Legends The First Ten Years Red Skull and Hydra Soldiers

The Red Skull, Captain America's arch nemesis and a character that I'm not too familiar with besides thinking he looks strange in the comics with the shape of the head. When I saw the movie I thought the MCU version of Red Skull looked pretty cool and kinda creepy. That wasn't his first appearance in live action from, he had appeared in the 1990 Captain America movie and he looked strange. Anyway, it's been so long since I watched the film and I don't remember much but looking at some clips, the movie looks pretty good, I really need to rewatch these because I'm sure I'll appreciate them a lot more now than I did then.
