Review: Captain America: Civil War (2016) - Marvel Legends (Phasing) Vision (Endgame Thor Wave)

This is another figure we didn't really need. However for those who missed out on the Toys R Us exclusive 2-pack with Vision and Scarlet Witch this is a good way to get him. He is different than that one and I'll get into that later. This would have been a much better spot for so many other figures in the movie especially those with Endgame specific looks and to use that slot for a figure that didn't even appear in the film... is eh. Let's get to it!

Same box, Captain America: Civil War logo, it's neat, I like.
The side has a nice shot of vision, it's much more visible on the back.
"The physics-defying android, Vision, fights as an Avenger to protect the Infinity Stone that helped create him."
It's a shame that doesn't work very well in Infinity War. I am surprised that we didn't get a Vision with the Civil War or Avengers: Age of Ultron logo, it wasn't until Avengers: Infinity War that vision was released and even then still no Quicksilver.
You get 1 vision, 1 Stormbreaker which is different than the previously released one with the Infinity War Thor. You also get 1 body for the Thor.

 Vision

The figure is identical to the previously released one, same mold, same detail, same pain applications. This one didn't come with a warped cape and the paint on the left shoulder is there. It is slightly translucent and the cape fits better on the body without superglue. Yes, I did superglue by Vision's cape, not this one though since I don't have an issue with this one.
The cape is removable so you can recreate that "naked" vision, although I do think his detail is different before he makes the cape. I also do kind of like the translucent look a little bit more.
The head does look like Paul Bettany which, thinking about it, would make a pretty good Superman.
The figure is alright, since it's basically the same figure just translucent it keeps all of the issues I had with the first one.
The only problem with this one is that he comes with no accessories. The other one at least came with a pair of fists.
This one is still pretty scrawny, he has noodle arms and stick thin legs.
Admittedly, I do like him quite a bit especially because the cape isn't warped and he has pretty nice flying poses. He does look strange if you don't pose him right.
You also need a very specific angle for him to not look incredibly malnourished.
I wish he did have a separate head piece with a beam effect like he did in the film, and maybe being a little more translucent wouldn't hurt especially since he just looks a little shinier or more metallic.
The face does look so much better and the paint is a great improvement on this figure.
He also fits with your other Civil War figures which is a plus. I guess he is a little on the shorter side.
Having them next to each other... it does make it hard to choose which one is better. I'm leaning more on the newer one but the original is closer to his regular look.
The heads are also pretty good but the paint is better on this one.
He isn't much taller than Spider-Man which doesn't look quite right. Almost half the height as the Giant Man from Civil War which is incredibly small, not as big as it should be, even for the smaller scale figures.
He's the same height as Falcon and not much taller than Wanda. Paul Bettany is 6'3" and Anthony Mackie is 5'10" so this isn't quite right.
I'm okay with both of these being taller than Vision. They are just suits after all.
Significantly smaller than Thanos and Ultron which is good.
Again, since this is a newer wave, he should be easier to find. At $16.85 if you're lucky and Wal-Mart has them on rollback, if not than $18.95 isn't so bad. Amazon and HasbroPulse might have him online at $19.99, probably the same at Target once they start showing up there. $22.99 at GameStop so if you're desperate and don't have them, they're more likely to be there than in any other place. If you need one for you Age of Ultron, Civil War, or Infinity War display, I highly recommend him if you don't already have one especially since Toys R Us closed around the time that set came out. Happy Hunting!
