Review: Avengers: Endgame (2019) - ZD Toys/Ami Toys Hulk (Purple Jumpsuit)

There was a Chinese company that made Endgame toys called ZD Toys or Ami Toys and they're okay. They look like bootlegs especially because of the paint applications but they're third party I suppose. They released a Thanos that seems to have a stolen S.H. Figuarts sculpt, it does come with a movie accurate sword and removable helmet. Most of the other figures aren't much to write home about, they seem to have a Marvel Legends like base, however they did come out with this Hulk with his purple jumpsuit. While the BAF Hulk we got was neat, he wasn't in the clothes everyone wanted, either the purple jumpsuit or the team suit. We do have a couple great figures coming out for the Endgame Hulk in his purple jumpsuit from Tamashii in October and Diamond Select in January of next year. I couldn't wait that long and I saw that someone put the BAF Hulk head on this and it looked great so I decided to get one, and it's not so bad but it does have a couple issues, which is expected.

The box is basic, the box shape itself is neat but the design on it is basic. You have a picture of the Hulk with his Mark Ruffalo face at the front of the box.
The side shows nice concept art of Thanos.
The survivors from Infinity War after the snap with their updated designs. The back has some more cool art and a lot of chinese text and warnings.
For a chinese figure and third party import, it isn't bad. The design looks amazing and it looks to be a brand new sculpt. The jumpsuit itself has a nice texture all over and it has a lot of details that extrude from the body as if it was padded.
The proportions are okay, he looks a little wide and he is quite large. Honestly, he does remind me a little bit of Shrek. The hands and feet have the straps that come from the rest of the jumpsuit.
The head itself isn't bad, if it was painted better it would be a perfect representation of the Smart Hulk. You can see a hint of the Mark Ruffaloness in the sculpt and the hair is nicely textured. There is a bit of paint application on the sides of the hair.

He comes with two pairs of hands, one of which he comes with them on.
A pair of fists that fit in through the ball joint. It is a tight fit but the dumbell joint seems to be pretty sturdy. Still I wouldn't risk it too much, some hot water would help.
A pair of open hands, one looks a lot more open than the other, the left hand looks like it's supposed to hold an accessory. Both hands are made out of a soft rubbery plastic material.
The articulation is pretty good, better than the average figure however, no bicep or thigh swivel which is terrible, it limits the articulation a great deal!
The shoulders and hips seem to be ball jointed and the hip joints come down a bit like a lot of the Figuarts. The leg won't bend 90-degrees from the hip which is also unfortunate.
The double jointed elbows and knees are great! Although the knees have a funky cut that could have been done a whole lot better. The feet are on ball joints but they don't get that much range. The diaphragm is also very tight and extremely limited since if you try to move it one direction it will just return to it's original spot so you don't get much range from that.
The head is also on a massive ball joint which is located at the top of the neck, there isn't a hinge joint to move it so the head just sits on top of it and he can't look down or up much, if at all. The glove from the basic figure will fit this figure perfectly.
The feel are full detailed and you can see some copyright information on the left side.
Compared to other Endgame figures, especifically the basic ones, he's much much taller and you can see the difference in design from the Hasbro one and the ZD Toys/Ami Toys one.
He looks pretty tiny compared to the most recent BAF, he could be taller but this works since he's still bigger than most figures.
Unfortunately the ball joint on the neck is way too big for the BAF head.
He scales nicely with your other Endgame figures so you can use him until the other two come out, or even if you just have this one you'll be okay.
Not bad, although I definitely overpaid for this, you can find him on eBay and other online shops. If you manage to get your hands on one, get this one. I'm not so sure I'll get the rest since they look incredibly funky. For what it is, it's incredible although I wish he at least had elbow swivels but what can you do. Happy hunting!
