Review: Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) - Hasbro Marvel Legends Spider-Man // Homemade Suit // Vulture & Flight Gear (BAF)

Spider-Man was the sole reason that brought me to the MCU, being one of my favorite superheroes from Marvel and my number 2 hero in my book and having one of the coolest suits and powers in my opinion. When I saw that he appeared or would appear in Captain America: Civil War, I knew I had to watch it, unfortunately I didn't see it in theaters but I eventually got to see it. Then, Spider-Man: Homecoming came out and I knew I had to watch it in theaters. I was a bit skeptical especially since he had already been rebooted twice! Vulture wasn't a character I would have picked for a Spider-Man movie but it proved me wrong. Tom Holland also makes a perfect Peter Parker and Spider-Man. It's July 2nd and Spider-Man: Far From Home finally made into theaters and I loved it! No spoilers, I'll do that in a couple weeks so let's get to it.

Spider-Man

This suit is based on the very classic Spider-Man design, it has all of the webbing and the red and blue color scheme in a familiar style. There's also a lot of small details since it isn't just a spandex suit, it was designed by Tony Stark so it's a techy suit.
The black lines are pretty thick but not distracting and I feel the proportions are slightly off. Especially around the shoulders he looks a little too wide which is not common for Spider-Man in general. Even in the movie he looks thinner around the shoulders.
The head has the nicest eyes, it's very different from the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy eyes. They're very round and you can see the detailing for the layers on the lenses that give him the expressions.
The chest has a cool spider design, again I'm very used to the angular Sam Reimy design from the early 2000s.
The back has the very iconic "tick" spider logo which, looks like a tick, I never understood that.
He comes with a pair of hands which are pretty easy to pop on. The hinges are just forward and back.
He also comes with a pair of twipping hands. The downside for those are that the web shooters are in  a fixed position that won't bother you unless you're picky like me.
Thanks to the articulation you get good range on these accessories. The shoulders are on a butterfly joint that give him quite the range of motion.
The elbows and knees are double jointed. There's an ab crunch but no waist swivel. I don't know if mine is just stuck but it doesn't anything at all. I'm afraid to fiddle with him so for now I won't bother.
Head is on a ball joint and hinge which allow him to look up and down well.
Thighs and biceps have a swivel. The hips are on a ball joint that pops of very easily.
Shoulders are on a hinge and swivel and the ankles go up-down, and rocker ankles.
He does come with a more closed and intimidating head that is multi-purpose.
You can also recreate his appearance from Civil War.
The web wings are also a pleasant surprise, I never thought I'd see them in a movie but I'm glad they were used. They peg in as easily as they pop out which is really hard.
They're not perfectly cut and if you try to align it the web wings will just pop off.

 Homemade Suit

The Homemade suit is probably one of my favorite variations of this suit. It also resembles the Scarlet Spider-Suit which is another one of my faves from the comics.
It looks like something we could all pull together if we wanted to become a cheap Spider-Man.
They head is just a mask, nothing crazy. The creases in the suit are well sculpted.
He comes with a pair of fists that show his fingers.
The chest is nicely done and doesn't look like the Tech Suit one. You can see the details of the creases and little details like the zipper along the middle of the hoodie and the strings of his sweats.
The detail on the boot is a little odd especially since he didn't really need to have that boot swivel.
The pair of twipping hands is another good accessory although for this one and the Tech Suit wall crawling hands could have worked better or even a pair of grabby hands.
The articulation is basically identical. The waist works here unlike the Tech Suit but there are no butterfly joints which sucks for a Marvel Legends figure.
The next accessory is the hoodie! I don't know how I like him more. The hoodie looks cool and limits the range of motion for the head immensely.
He looks like a boxer or some sort of hooligan in a tracksuit of very bright colors.
I can't tell you how much I love this figure but he is a little too big, he's taller than the Tech Suit Spider-Man and it's very noticeable.

 Vulture & Flight Gear

The Vulture played by Michael Keaton or Batman. The suit looks like a guy with a fur jacket that has a lot of straps around his suit.
The claws look a little out of place and the arms don't go down the body, they just stick out.
The helmet looks accurate enough. It's closer to promotional designs of the suit. I like the tubes and the translucent visor. It's unfortunate that he didn't come with the Michael Keaton head.
The Flight Gear is the BAF in this line and it's completely understandable. They're stunning.
They are composed symmetrical pieces with lots of moving parts. It's not perfect by any means but it's still amazing considering it's the BAF.
It attaches through the back along the back of the Vulture and it comes with it's own stand but you have to balance the figure correctly so he doesn't fall.
It does have quite the range of motion but it won't fit on most shelves so he'll take up a lot of display space. The joints on the wings are also very flimsy so they can't hold a pose.
The turbines on the back are my favorite part although they're very loose. I'm surprised they still spin! If you look at the back of the wings you can see some weathering because of the wings being used often.
Due to the size it's hard to find a stand to use that I have in hand. I did my best!
I just wish the wings held better. Articulation for the Vulture is the same as the other two.
He looks threatening due to his size, even though they're light plastic pieces, he looks amazing. He's probably one of the biggest Marvel Legends.
He is able to hold certain poses without the use of a stand but you have to position carefully. If you want him to attack with the wings he should be able to thanks to the size of the feet.
Here they are compared to other Spider-Man Figures, as you can see, Spidey is a little short but it's expected for a 16 year old boy. Vulture and Mysterio are both a head taller than Spidey. You can also get a idea of how big the wingspan is by looking at the figures next to the Vulture.
Compared to other Spider-Man Figures, the head looks better here than on the Iron Spider suit, he's also a big improvement from the Civil War 3-Pack. There is almost no reuse, the feet might have been but he's wider in this line.
The back is also different and the coloring as well. There are some small changes done to the design of the suit that I don't think are accurate. The suit in Civil War and Homecoming look the same unless it's a Mark II?
Still, It's a great figure and a really nice representation of the Webhead. He is hard to find and come across for a decent price that isn't $40. I got lucky and found him at a Walgreens as well as the Homemade Suit for $19.99 each. If you find them I highly recommend them. Vulture might be hard to complete, Tombstone and Beetle are fairly easy to find. Moon Knight, and Cosmic Spider-Man might be harder to find. Happy Hunting.
