Review: Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Black Series Captain Phasma 3.75"

Captain Phasma, a character that looks really cool but does very little in both movies, she doesn't really get much screen time and she's defeated easily. She gets a cooler fight against Finn in The Last Jedi. Played by Gwendoline Christie, she's very tall at 6'3" and the figure captures that height well. I didn't expect her to be that tall, the actress is also very funny. Not much can be said about this character honestly, I do have the Disney Exclusive Black Series figure but I wanted an undamaged version and I've been on a 3.75" figure kick so I went on Ebay and got this figure fairly cheap, I've also gotten two more Vintage Collection First Order Stormtroopers for $5 at GameStop so my troops have grown! And they will continue to grow until I stop finding them! She also fits with the Stormtrooper much better than Kylo Ren, I kept messing with this figure throughout the week, I got her on Christmas Eve so it was perfect timing in my opinion.

The Box is pretty basic and there's not much too it, there's no numbering to these and the right side has "Phasma" in big letters. The back has the same image as it does in the front and it has a short bio:
"Clad in distinctive metallic armor, Captain Phasma commands the First Order's legion of troopers."
Out of the box she looks great! for this scale of course, the legs and ankles are wonky and I think one leg might be longer than the other. Detail from the front and back is great and I love the paint that they used, it's not shiny chrome like the movie but it still has some shine to it.
The cape is removable, just pop off the head since it's on a ball joint and then take off the cape. Without the cape she looks very feminine, I'm not sure why but maybe the proportions make her look like a her unlike the majority of the Stormtroopers. I would prefer to leave the cape on though. It has a nice sculpt and a little bit of painted detail, it doesn't really get in the way of the articulation.
The helmet looks great and it is different from the standard Stormtrooper helmet, it looks sharper and has some sculpted lines on the head that go all the way to the back. I think mine chipped on the left side of the chin.
For accessories she comes with her personal blaster which is a customized F-11D Blaster Rifle which is polished in chromium, yes I looked it up. I don't recall her ever using it in the movies.
What good is a Stormtrooper if she can't hold with two hands? And she can put it in her holster which is really just a hole on the side of her thigh. She's fairly articulated, the same articulation as the Stormtroopers and still the same annoying problem with the hip articulation.
The Blaster is a little too rubbery and it's hard for her to hold it, it gets warped way too easily.
The scaling is basic, she's closer to 4.5" and taller than most figures in this scale.
She's half a head taller than The Vintage Collection Kylo Ren (which is a repackaged Black Series figure) and about a head taller than Force Link General Hux.
She towers over The Vintage Collection First Order Stormtroopers (which are also repackaged Black Series figures!) and she looks good next to them.
Next to VC/BS Rey and Black Series Finn
Alongside a standard 6" First Order Stormtrooper
4" Red Megaforce Rangers and still shorter than the 5" Red Ranger.
The Force Awakens 3.75" Finn and Force Link 2.0 Chewie from Solo who's still taller, she's another nice addition to the collection and I'm glad I got her, I doubt I'm going to have or find this many 6" Stormtroopers so in this scale it looks good and takes less space as well as being less pricey. She doesn't seem to be too hard to find on Ebay thankfully so you too can have your own Phasma.
