Review: Shuriken Sentai Ninninger - Mini Pla Paonmaru

A little but I'm busy, I have a job that allows me to stay home for 5 hours total (not counting sleep) but I have a good time for the most part. Mini Pla Paonmaru! I've wanted Mini Pla for a while and I'm pretty happy with what I've been seeing, I got a pack of 12 (?) which came with an extra Shurikenjin, 2 Paonmaru, 2 UFOmaru and 3 Surfermaru. You have to put them together and detail them with stickers but, for me, no stickers!

Paonmaru is fairly basic, the first of the auxiliary mech in the show. It shows up walking on a giant stone and with this figure, you can't really recreate that since the leg articulation is non existent.

Well... maybe not non-existent, the front two legs are on a hinge joint together and not independent but that's due to the transformation. The figure is molded in a green plastic and nicely detailed, I painted this one and it came out pretty nicely.
Compared to the Ninja Steel Rumble Tusk Zord, it's very tiny in size. The ears are also articulated for some reason, I'm not completely sure why.
It fits in nicely with the 5" villains and in scale with the other Mini Pla mecha and Gashapon.
When it's transformed, it looks pretty weird, the cannons on it's back are huge and you can barely see his face. The cannons didn't have the detail so I had to use the stickers... Which are shiny!
It's also very tiny compared to the other figures. The Armored one looks the best honestly...
Scaling with Shurikenjin is good! And you can combine them to form Shurikenjin Paon.
The Otomonin Shuriken is different, only having 3 blades, and the face looks nice, it has a gold beard! I had to use the sticker of course since that part is hollow.
When you combine them, Shurikenjin Paon looks great! It's better than the Drago Formation of Shurikenjin and the colors go well together. It's also very light and doesn't fall over! I wish he had wrist articulation so he could wield the axes a little better.
He's also in scale with the Skullgators and it makes for some cool action scenes. I like having the Mini Pla since the villains have someone to fight and you don't just have a giant 10" Mecha fighting a 5" figure. If you can find them, I highly recommend them. :)
