I watched the first episode of Ninja Steel! Which was a little less than I expected, not that I had high or any expectations but it just wasn't the best. The Basher Monster, or at least this variation of the Basher didn't appear much in this episode. I'm not here to talk about the show but still, I wanted some context before making this episode like I did with my reviews for Megaforce a couple years ago. Apparently they're upgraded from the Kudabots and the Basherbots are called Jukkarage (ジュッカラゲ) in Ninninger. Apparently, they don't appear until Episode 8 which is far far from where I'm at. (I wrote that a couple months ago)
The figure itself is nicely detailed all around, having detail on the belt, helmet and armor around the body. The back of the head has a knot where the "headpiece" would tie. The paint on the figure is pretty basic and minor, the back isn't painted. You can see a couple oni details on the helmet and the chest piece. The boots look nice and the figure has nice crease details around. They're fairly articulated and have the basic points of articulation such as the neck swivel, rotation and hinge at the shoulder and hip. Bend at the knee and elbow, unfortunately there isn't a boot or wrist swivel but it works.
The sword is also nicely detailed, it's made out of soft plastic which warps easily... unfortunately but you can bend it back to shape. It also keeps the square motif on the blade. It can easily fit in either hand.
The best part (and possibly the worst) about any foot soldier is army building! Gather up a couple Bashers and you can have yourself a Basher army! How did I get 4? Well... I got two at two different Walgreens and one at Toys R Us and another with the Epic Hero Set that I bought off of Amazon because no TRU had em... Unfortunately the one that came with the Epic Hero Set, his legs were very warped since he's made out of soft plastic.
Honestly, just look at how you can display them, and not just fighting against your heroes...
They can also fight alongside your other villian figures such as Galvanax, Madame Odius or Ripcon, or even the other Monster of the Week villains.
