Review: Marvel Comics - Marvel Legends Build-a-Figure Super Skrull (2020)

The Super Skrull, again, not familiar with these characters but I do like the designs. It has a very classic look to it and I love it! When this was revealed I wasn't all that excited due to the fact that I know very little when it comes to Marvel's comics, I'm super familiar with the movies though!

Super Skrull

The figure itself is really basic, nothing fancy but it still hits the necessary details the Super Skrull needs. The purple and black jumpsuit looks good, basic paint applications. The only extra detailed part of this figure is the torso, the black detailing along the torso, the V-shape is sculpted in, I assume they did it because they had to add the shoulder tips from the suit. It's very muscular and I think he looks better from the corner than from the side or the front.
The basic neutral face looks good. The details along the forehead, the ear and the chin look great.
The smiling face however, looks a whole lot better, it just has a lot more personality than the serious face could ever have. The heads are also consistent which is always a treat.
Just by himself he could go with any of the other Marvel characters and look amazing.
You do get a couple of accessories though, you get one stretchy invisible arm which is translucent.
It has a nice curve to it and I'm wondering if it would have been better to have given it a metal rod instead of the articulation it does have.
It is pretty cool since it has a nice face along the bicep and you can see the inner workings of the figure at work. Really cool stuff.
It doesn't have amazing reach though, I tried but you can get it a lot of really cool poses. The wrist hinge isn't really useful here so that wasn't all that necessary.
You get a thing arm, which has a total of three fingers, nice face, and fantastic detailing.
It's so much fun, and the shoulder and bicep are extra jacked! The forearm is distinct from the Thing's but I think the fist is identical.
You get the same articulation as you do with the other three arms.
You also get a flame effect which does stick on fairly well. It's only meant for the thing arm which is a little disappointing.
It's fun to play with though and it just completes the whole look.
He's taller and wider than the movie Talos from the Captain Marvel wave. Very different designs.
And he fits well with the others, he's taller than everyone except for the Thing and She-Hulk.
In the end, he's an amazing figure and for these waves that have six figures, it's a pretty nice deal. You'd spend about 120-180 for this figure depending on where you get the figures from.
The extra Skrull heads can also be fun to put on your other Marvel heroes, maybe a little big but it works. Maybe we'll start getting Skrull Avengers?
Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreens have them for about $20 a piece, you can also get them for that price online at HasbroPulse and Amazon. Gamestop had them for $23.99 but raised them to $29.99 which is crazy and the same price you'll find them at FYE. If you can get them for about $20 bucks, it's completely worth it for the wave. And the Super Skrull is such a multi-purpose figure considering his accessories. Happy Hunting!
