Review: Fantastic 4 - Marvel Legends Doctor Doom (Super Skrull Wave)

This is the best figure in the wave, seriously, I was looking forward to this one as soon as it was announced despite me knowing next to nothing about the character. I did watch Fantastic Four (2005) with Chris Evans as the Human Torch and he was the main villain for that one. He looked okay, but he's always looked better in his comic form, more specifically, his updated look with the evil looking helmet, not the Iron Man, old-school robot looking one. Let's get to it!

Review: Fantastic 4 - Marvel Legends Invisible Woman & Human Torch (Super Skrull Wave 2020)

There's a video out for this, if you want to check that out click right here! I got Invisible Woman through Amazon since I had pre-ordered her ahead of time. I found the Human Torch and Doctor Doom at Wal-Mart later that weekend, so last weekend, I mean, the one before this most recent one. So far, I'm very pleased because it's the first time I have all fantastic four as a team. I would have preferred to have the classic costumes, the Walgreens ones, but this will do. Let's get to it.

Review: Fantastic Four - Marvel Legends Mr. Fantastic & The Thing (Super Skrull Wave)

The first wave of the year! Finally I have the Thing and Mr. Fantastic, although not in the form that I'd like but this will do! I've been waiting for this wave for a while now and since I really liked Captain Marvel and the Skrulls I've wanted a comic version of the Skrulls for my collection. I pre-ordered these as soon as possible and they were supposed to be released next month but these showed up early. If you don't follow me on instagram, go there @loveymush. Let's get to it!

Review: Avengers: Endgame - Marvel Legends Build-a-Figure Endgame Thor

Finally we get to the man himself, Thor! Son of Odin! Again, burned out, super busy, especially around this time of year and I wanted to take a couple pictures before posting this one. I like the direction they went with for Thor, I wasn't expecting it and honestly, I was surprised. I thought it was a little much at the beginning and little by little he was becoming himself again. As for this figure... eh, I would have preferred his armored form more than this one but we have it and I'll appreciate it but I can't wait until they release the armored form. Anyway, let's get to it.

Review: Avengers: Endgame (2019) - Marvel Legends Iron Man Mark LXXXV (85) (Endgame Thor Wave)

Now time to go back to reviews! Sorry it's been busy busy and burned out I have been. Here's the Mark 85 Iron Man from the third Endgame wave for the Marvel Legend figures this year. I had been waiting for this one for a while and there are things I like about it and things I think could have been done a lot better. It's December and we're getting closer and closer to the end of the year, Endgame has been in and out of theaters, in DVD, on digital, and on Disney + for a while at this point so I'm pretty sure most people watching this have already watched Endgame. Let's get to the review!

Review: Avengers: Endgame - Marvel Legends Iron Patriot/War Machine Mark 006 (Endgame Thor Wave)

Finally we have a proper War Machine, or more accurately, Iron Patriot. I do wish they had released the Mark 004 and Mark 006 (even the 005 would have been nice) but it's okay. This one appeared at the very end of the film once Ant-Man escapes from the rubble along with Hulk, Rocket, and Rhodey. While this character was previously released in the second Endgame wave (Smark Hulk), it wasn't accurate to the film, it was based on concept art for War Machine. It does use some pieces but for the most part it's pretty new. Let's get to it!

Review: Captain America: Civil War (2016) - Marvel Legends (Phasing) Vision (Endgame Thor Wave)

This is another figure we didn't really need. However for those who missed out on the Toys R Us exclusive 2-pack with Vision and Scarlet Witch this is a good way to get him. He is different than that one and I'll get into that later. This would have been a much better spot for so many other figures in the movie especially those with Endgame specific looks and to use that slot for a figure that didn't even appear in the film... is eh. Let's get to it!

Review: Power Rangers Dino Thunder - Bandai of America Legacy Collection Build-a-Megazord Thundersaurus Megazord // Red, Blue, Yellow, Black, White Dino Rangers

Once I moved to the states I started watching Power Rangers Dino Thunder and I was excited, another Dinosaur team which I thought had better and more streamlined designs for their suits. It was based of Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger which was the 27th season for the Super Sentai Series. They kept the diamond motif, they kept the main three dinosaurs that they had in Zyuranger and two kept the same color. I really liked the white outline for the visor and the more stylized "jaws" that the visor shape kept. The lack of silver lip piece is much appreciated. I did find it interesting that they decided to reuse the white diamond pattern that Zyuranger had. I thought the dino footprint design on the chest was pretty cool and back then I did think that this was the superior dinosaur design but now it's pretty hard to choose. I'm not sure which one I like more, both are so similar yet so different. Initially, the Red, Blue, and Black Dino Rangers were released before Hasbro acquired the rights to Power Rangers. They weren't hard to find, I found them easily along with all of the male Zeo Rangers. White and Yellow... didn't have the same luck. The female Zeo Rangers shipped in August of last year and there was almost no trace of the Yellow or White Dino Rangers. At one point the White Dino Ranger did show up at Walgreens so Yellow was left... that was until the Legacy Collection had a very sudden re-release of all of the previous, current, and remaining waves so I nabbed it!

Review: Power Rangers Ninja Storm - Bandai of America Legacy Collection Build-a-Megazord Storm Megazord // Red, Yellow, Blue Wind Rangers

Power Rangers Ninja Storm was the last season I saw before I moved to the United States and every other season I watched was in English. It was right after Wild Force had come out and I loved that season, especially since Lions and Red were two of my favorite things so you know it is. I did think that the theme song was a little strange and different from what came before. It was also an interesting season in which the wirework and CG was funky but I didn't care, I was 7. I did have a couple toys that my dad had sent from the U.S. but no transforming mecha, I had a big zord where you could put a Red Ranger that came with it and I loved it! Unfortunately, earlier this year Pua Magasiva passed away. This was also the first full team to be released by Bandai in the Lightning Collection line and the only set of three rangers to build a Megazord. Although Dino Thunder was a team of three they used all five of the rangers to build that Megazord. Power Rangers Ninja Storm was based off of Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger from the Super Sentai Series in Japan.

Review: Spider-Man: Far From Home - Marvel Legends Mysterio // Spider-Man (Red and Black Suit) Molten Man Build-a-Figure Wave)

Mysterio was such an interesting character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially considering the history of the character in the comics. Spider-Man also sports a brand new suit in the movie which is okay, not a super fan of it but it's not a drastic change unlike the suit from The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) with Andrew Garfield... seriously, I hated that suit. Considering it's almost halfway through August and this movie has been out for over a month there's going to be a lot of things spoiled so be warned. Let's get to it!

Review: Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) - Hasbro Marvel Legends Stealth Suit Spider-Man aka Night Monkey // Build-a-Figure Molten Man

So, Spider-Man Far From Home is supposed to end Phase 3 and the Infinity War Saga, and I think it was a great addition and a great way to end 20+ movies. I went to watch it when it came out, unfortunately I had to run before I saw the mid & end credits. I did watch them online but I didn't miss as much as I thought although there were plenty of questions that were left unanswered. Today we look at the Spider-Man Stealth suit and Molten Man. We'll get to that in a little bit, I was a big fan of the "Noir" styled suit, I didn't expect to see that in the MCU any time soon. Initially I wasn't too impressed by Molten Man and he could have definitely been a whole lot bigger but I do like it.

Review: Avengers: Endgame - Hasbro Marvel Legends War Machine Mark 006 // Rescue 0049 // Endgame Hulk Build-a-Figure

With the re-release of Avengers: Endgame that I still haven't watched there's a whole new set of Marvel Legends coming out. The second wave for Endgame has some very anticipated figures. Shuri that was teased last year with the 2nd wave of Black Panther figures, the heavily armored Mark 006 War Machine, 0049 Rescue Armor for Pepper Potts, and Professor Hulk along with other comic figures (Rock Python, Union Jack, Loki, and Beta Ray Bill). One of the downsides were that War Machine and Hulk aren't the versions everyone was expecting, we'll get to that in a bit. This set had been out for a couple months at this point at Targets in different parts of the United States but I had no luck finding it. I did have it pre-ordered on Amazon but I ended up finding all of them at GameStop two weeks ago. They were a lot more expensive but I just couldn't wait...

Review: Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) - Hasbro Marvel Legends Spider-Man // Homemade Suit // Vulture & Flight Gear (BAF)

Spider-Man was the sole reason that brought me to the MCU, being one of my favorite superheroes from Marvel and my number 2 hero in my book and having one of the coolest suits and powers in my opinion. When I saw that he appeared or would appear in Captain America: Civil War, I knew I had to watch it, unfortunately I didn't see it in theaters but I eventually got to see it. Then, Spider-Man: Homecoming came out and I knew I had to watch it in theaters. I was a bit skeptical especially since he had already been rebooted twice! Vulture wasn't a character I would have picked for a Spider-Man movie but it proved me wrong. Tom Holland also makes a perfect Peter Parker and Spider-Man. It's July 2nd and Spider-Man: Far From Home finally made into theaters and I loved it! No spoilers, I'll do that in a couple weeks so let's get to it.

Review: Power Rangers Zeo - Bandai of America Legacy Collection Build-a-Megazord Zeo Megazord // Zeo Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Pink Rangers

After Mighty Morphin' Power Ranger's three seasons and a mini season called Mighty Morphin' Alien Rangers, Saban decided to try replacing all of the zords, villains, and suits for the first time. It does continue the story from the past three seasons and keeps the main cast but with upgraded powers. Power Rangers Zeo was a successful season, based on Choriki Sentai Ohranger, Super Sentai's seventeenth season. As you can see there is no black ranger, I honestly don't remember the explanation that they gave for that but I do remember a lot of it especially the villains. A lot of my memories of Power Rangers Zeo come from Jetix's Power Rangers Generations where they would show episodes from different seasons of Power Rangers. Zeo Ranger 5 (Red), Zeo Ranger 4 (Green) and Zeo Ranger 3 (Blue) had been released as part of the 5th Wave of Legacy Collection figures by Bandai of America. It was one of the first few waves that I had bought in store. I remember I got 4 figures when I checked my local Wal-Mart, the one I had been going to since I was a wee lad and spent $80 that night which I wasn't proud of but now it's not the worst thing in the world. The girls were harder to find since they were some of the last few figures to be released, I had pre-ordered them on GameStop.com back in February of 2018 and didn't get them until August I think, I found them in store first and forgot to cancel my pre-order so now I have two of each.

Reviews: Avengers: Infinity War/Endgame - Marvel Legends Ebony Maw and Thanos (Build-a-Figure)

For the most part, the Endgame Marvel Legends waves have been okay, there are some places that already have wave 2! It would have been much better if more MCU figures were part of the waves but what can you do? Ronin, Captain America, and Ebony Maw were half of the wave and Cap didn't even come with a piece. You got 4 other comic figures with this wave which were also kind of okay but left you wishing for more. I still want to see Avengers: Endgame again before it leaves theaters and their version of the Avengers theme is amazing, especially when you watch that scene.

Review: Avengers: Endgame (2019) - Marvel Legends Ronin and Captain America (Quantum Suit)

I watched Avengers: Endgame as soon as it came out for the early release on Thursday Night. I had to go to Washington D.C. for the weekend and I wouldn't be able to watch it when in D.C. so I needed to watch it as soon as possible! The earliest viewing I'd be able to go to would be the 11 PM showing, I left work at 9:15 and got home around 9.46 and got to the theater at 10:30. There was a very long line starting from the Highway onto the parking lot of the theater. Took a while to get parking but I eventually found some. I got home at 3 AM and it was totally worth it! As for these two versions of the characters, I saw them way before the movie came out because of the concept art leaks. The Quantum suits and Ronin had been out for a while, I initially thought that the suits were just for the toys so they'd make an extra profit, you know make people buy more versions of the characters and they wouldn't be in the movie, kind of like Hasbro does with the Power Rangers figures. Let's get to the review, also Endgame is amazing you should go watch it, I've watched it three times already!

Review: Avengers: Infinity War - Marvel Legends Black Widow // Thor // Cull Obsidian Build-a-Figure

Finishing up the Cull Obsidian wave with Black Widow, Thor, and Cull Obsidian (I will look into the comic figures at some point) and I love Thor the most because his articulation is the least restrictive... which the cape can restrict in certain poses. These last two figures I got from Amazon because I couldn't find them in person. Black Widow wasn't much, 19.99 with free shipping, Thor on the other hand, I saw him for 19.99 but didn't jump on it fast enough so I ended up having to buy him for 28.99 and then a couple hours later he was back down to 19.99 which was a shame. Then about 2 weeks later, the entire Cull Obsidian wave showed up at Wal-Mart along with the Armored Thanos wave which was a little upsetting but what can you do?

Review: Avengers: Infinity War - Marvel Legends Iron Man Mark 50 // Spider-Man (Iron Spider) // Thanos (BAF)

So getting some of these figures was a pain, I saw Iron Spidey at FYE for about $27 which was a no from me but seeing how much he was online I decided to go get it but it wasn't there anymore so I resorted to buying it online for $28. Iron Man Mark 50 wasn't that hard to get but I paid about $20ish which isn't bad. Building Thanos was pretty satisfying, seeing the Mad Titan in plastic form was very much worth it. We'll talk about the big guy later, let's get started.

Review: Captain Marvel (2019) - Marvel Legends Yon-Rogg and Captain Marvel (Airforce Colors and Airforce Jacket Versions)

So for the last batch of MCU Captain Marvel figure reviews (minus the Binary form which hasn't hit stores yet and I don't feel like paying double the price for one). And honestly, it was a really good set of figures. I would have preferred more MCU figures over Genis-Vell and Grey Gargoyle but what can you do? I still need to review Black Bolt and Namor from the Okoye Build-a-Figure wave. I haven't rewatched Captain Marvel yet but I do want to rewatch it. I will watch Shazam though. That comes out soon, this weekend? Anyway, I love Captain Marvel herself, she's such a cool character with an awesome design and Brie Larson is cute so yeah. Let's get started.

Review - Black Panther/Avengers: Infinity War - Marvel Legends Dora Milaje, Black Panther (Vibranium energy), and M'Baku BAF

Time for last few figures in the M'Baku Build-a-Figure wave. Personally I prefer the movie figures over the comic versions so I was pleased when all of the figures in the line would be MCU figures. Finding the last batch wasn't that hard. It all started with the Dora Milaje, then Klaue and Killmonger, then the remaining three panthers (T'Chaka, T'Challa's Civil War suit and his vibranium energy suit) getting all of them to build M'Baku. Total, roughly $145 for the entire wave, unless you did the 25% off bag or got three Dora Milaje...
